i was wondering what happened with hb148
while HB6225 sounds good too i though there was a bill going thru that involed the state police and the sheriff
i just have problem with some wording
they keep trying to put in this
1.shall not exempt home rule
2. that the local sheriff "may" issue should be "imho" it should be shall issue
as long one doesnt have violent felonies and has passed a commonsense training course( chicago tries with two dui's and minor misdeanors to keep it's populance from defending them selves)
i know it's long shot but we have to keep trying

I was at a conceal carry town hall meeting recently where the NRA lobbyist Todd Vandermyde spoke. He said that unless Quinn would change and support LTC it wouldn't come up for a vote in the fall veto session. Because if it passed and was sent to him he could just let it sit for 60 days and it would be into the next session. So a new bill would have to be introduced.
