I can't believe all those people and not 1 armed citizen

Firearms, even with a valid CCW, are prohibited in those theaters. That particular theater reportedly had a sign claiming "Gun free zone". I wonder if THAT attracted the shooter to that particular place to do his deed??? The shooter turned out to be 24 years of age (born 12/13/87) and was active in the Occupy Wall Street protests. With the equipment and ordnance he had in his possession..., it doesn't appear that the current economy was posing any serious problems for him.

Again, this must be a simple case of not posting the no fire arms sign on the right door. If they would have put it on the rear exit door, then it would have been seen by the gunman.

My thoughts & prayers do go out to the victims & there families. And also to the management of the theater, who banned law abiding citizens, the right to defend themselves. I assume that since they had no firearms signs up, the theater will assume ALL liability for the patrons safety.

it is an unfortanate incedent that these people went thru
my thoughts and prayers are with them
because of actions of one every law abideing gun owner is now under the gun
already the mayor of philly is whineing for the assualt weapons ban
and sales over the internet
would a assualt ban have stop this ? that i believe is academic
some how he bought tear gas and a vest and helmet and mask
over the internet thru surplus i bet
would tighter control have stopped him he problatey would have used molotove cocktails instead( and really would have done damage) this guy was smarter then the average bear just the fact he was in a doctorate class
they believe now he thought this out and was not random
1,000 people in a dark confined place to him it was like shooting fish in a barrel
you have 1,000 people in a area and no security?
not even an off duty cop
and as pointed out before in this column not one citizen with a fire arm
that old guy in ocala would have wiped his butt to every corner of the theater vest or no vest
it disturbing that this guy acted out this way after being thought of being very "together" you just never know

I think the media is dubbing tear gas if he made it himself it is probley just a smoke bomb. don't know for sure thats just my suspension media never calls anything by the right name.

now I can blame the sheriffs and the theater if memory serves me right CO is a may issue state and the theaters ban firearms.

your life may be in danger and it may be worth you protecting because some loon with a gun may come into a movie theater and may try to kill you for no reason and the police may be there to stop him or he may get away, he may kill your friend, he may kill your family.
