Now that I'm almost ready to finally start reloading, would anyone care to recommend a good brand for ammo boxes?
Looking to store/carry .45 Colt, 9mm and .308.

Yes, I have bullets, and powder, primers, press, manuals, brass, tumbler etc... Built my bench a couple months ago.
Even completed and passed the test for the NRA Metallic reloading class.

Oh. I suggest buying your mext batch of pistol bullets (they do some rifle as well) directly from Berry's. Free shipping on orders over $50. Their plastic boxes are the cheapest I've found. |

A brand that I have always had a very good experiance with is MTM. They make ammo boxes for every handgun and rifle caliber as well as shot shells. I still have MTM ammo boxes that I bought in the 80's!!! The prices were very reasonable then and they remain a value now.
They can be found in 20, 50 and 100 round boxes for most calibers.
You can find them in just about most gun stores as well as the mail order houses. And as we all know, almost all these stores/m-o houses have a website.
Check out Midwayusa.com
Hope this helps you out. |

MTM is a great brand. However, the cases from Berrys are cheaper, but you can never go wrong with MTM |

Ok, so I finally get around to ordering a few boxes from Berry's and figured I'd give some of their bullets a try.
Now that I received the order (two weeks later via the USPS snail sytem), has anyone dealt with their customer service for returns? I ordered a box of .38 special 158gr RN, and received a box of .45 acp 230 gr Round Shoulder bullets instead.
At least the boxes look decent.

Cheapest prices for hard cast lead are usually at http://www.missouribullet.com/
Enter promo-code THR-ORIGINAL for a 5% discount.
For .308, I typically only shoot 168gr. HPBT. There was a good sale at http://www.wideners.com some time ago...don't know if they're still a good deal or not.
To answer the original question...I'm a cheap bastard so I keep the winchester white box trays and re-package my reloads into those boxes with a large white mailing label sticker on the outside of the box denoting the caliber, bullet type, and charge for each box.
I do have a half-dozen plastic boxes I bought at Cabela's a while back. They work well, although I remember thinking that they were a little pricey for what they are. |

Just a Berry's update- still haven't received the replacement bullets after I called them on the 13th, and they said they'd ship the correct items right out.
I mean really, all the way from Utah to Illinois is at least 3 days shipping. All the regular help must be on vacation for the summer...
