Looking for an inexpensive lever gun in .22 LR. I'd love to get a hold of a Marlin 39a, but a Henry or something similar would be fine too. Hopefully something in the $100-150 range. |

You might be able to find a decent bolt action .22 rifle in that range however even a well used Henry will set you back over $200.00.
A used Marlin 39A double that amount plus.
Used lever guns are tough to find.
Finding anything under $200.00, darn near impossible.
Honestly Cabela's seem to have seem to have an occasional used deal from time to time. You almost need to check there daily though. |

Right now a new or slightly used Henry is the most probable option, but I know they are over $200. I was thinking more of an older Ithaca .22. They pop up from time to time for $100-150 depending on condition and model. |

Ahhhh, a single shot .22 lever. Forgot about those.
Yup, those do show up once in a while in the $150.00 range.
A repeater will set you back about what a new Henry does.
Unless you luck into a nice older one cheap I would pony up the extra $$ and get a new Henry.
We did!

That's like buying a horse just for a seat. |

Any horse I buy has to fit my saddle. Comfy Big Horn flex tree with about 1" of padding in the seat. |
