After better than 2 months of searching for the next shooter we finally found something offered at less than new prices!
Some people are oblivious to what new guns actually sell for, offering used ones for more than I walk into a gun store and buy it for today.
Anyway our 'want list' is long but this was right near the top.......
A Marlin 1894CS. A shame that it's a '94 with a low round count of which we will easily double the first trip to the range but locating a nice, affordable .357 Magnum lever gun is not an easy thing to do.
Found this locally & privately so no fees or tax. |

Both are nice looking pieces. And with those barrel lengths, they look like a Trapper model. |

I came a cross a guy selling a used 45 that I wanted for $150 more than I could get it new for including tax. When I made a genuine offer he told me that he didnt care that I could get a new one cheaper . Strange. |

Not necessarily, I wouldn't say I see it frequently but it's appears almost exclusively for a firearm over 10 years old. Don't interpret this as endorsement. |

Armslist has had a rash of overpriced firearms as of late.
When I can walk into a local gun store and buy a NEW gun for less than a "like new" used one for something is amiss.........
So we get to see them listed over and over and over again.
I am continually annoyed by some sellers’ definition of “like new”. To me, “like-new” means that it is in the exact same condition as it came from the manufacturer.
A gun cannot be fired less than 200 times and still be "like new", unless new guns are fired 200 times. |
