I have been thinking of getting a 22 rifle. The 10/22 does not do it for me .Does anyone have any experience with the Sig 522? |

Off topic but I only own one Marlin and its a 30-30 lever from 1893. The reciever and stock is original but the barrel has been changed. I know its not worth much because of this but I love the fact that it is so old. Who knows what history is behind it. |

Still off topic.
I was under the impression the 30-30 was a Winchester round specifically made for the 1894 and the ammo didn't actually come out until 1895, so the 1893 year doesn't make sense to me. I was also informed that the win 30-30 was a smokeless cartridge, so maybe the round is older than 1895, but the smokeless feature was new in 1894/5.
Back on topic.
Looks like a sweet rifle, but that price tag is way too high for me, as far as a 22 goes. |

You would be right. Bad wording on my part. Its a Marlin model 1893 made in 1897 according to the serial number. |
