Have you asked Cabelas about giving you a discount for a bulk buy? |

I'm in the market for some decent 9mm bulk ammo. I was looking at the Herters brass cased stuff from Cabelas, but I was going to buy between 1000 and 2000 rounds. It'll all come down to price/round for me. |

Try Luckygunner.com. They have good prices. On my second order I ordered before 2:00 PM and had my order less than 48 hours later. |

Yes, 1,000 rounds 9mm if you can get a good price. The best i found so far is .18 per round. |

I would be interested in some 9mm depending on price. I've never shot steel or aluminum cased, so not sure about any of that.
I've been using Military Ballistics 9mm reloaded brass cased from Lucky Gunner, and have had no problems through a few thousand rounds. Comes in at .20/21 per round, either in 115 or 124gr FMJ for target plinking.

If you like good quality reloads then take a look at 9mm from USA AMMO, they are just under .17 per round (plus shipping, which varies depending on quantity), I've never had any problems with it. |

So why buy reloads at. 17 or 20 cents a round. When you can get pmc brass cased factory loads from aimsurplus for. 20 a round. Makes no sense?
20 or more boxes drops it down to 9.75 a box making it less per round. |

I dunno. 3 cents is 3 cents. It does add up. I probably have nothing short of 6 or 7 thousand rounds of centerfire ammo on hand now. More at the beginning of summer (better start stocking up again). I can go through 500 to 1000 rounds in one weekend if I'm not using a precision rifle.
Some of the reloads are just as good (or even better better) than some of the cheap imported factory ammo.
Don't get me wrong. Not saying they all are. But the USA Ammo stuff is, to my mind, just as good and I've had no issues. Ever. But I have had a couple handguns misfire with PMC handgun ammo. Never had a problem with PMC rifle ammo. I do have both USA as well as PMC sitting on my shelf along with many other brands.
I generally divide my ammo into 3 categories.
1 - cheapest I can get (that functions perfectly)
2 - premium target ammo
3 - premium self-defense ammo
It should also be noted that some of the ammo producers that make re-loads will also sell virgin loads using new brass, that stuff may cost a penny or so more, but if you save your brass it may be worth it to you. So you can buy "factory" ammo from a re-loader that just happens to be their own 'no-name' stuff.
Another plus for some of the better known re-loads is that they employ American workers. ALL of the super discount ammo is imported with foreign workers making it. If I can I prefer to employ Americans, but that is just my personal choice.
We each make our own choices, I don't begrudge anyone who chooses differently than me.

I may give USA a try. Looks like it's .18 a round per 1000 shipped to me for 9mm.
