Thought I'd share my latest project in modifying my Hi Point 995 9mm Carbine. I'm not finished yet cause I have a few things coming from Amazon.com. But here's a couple pics of my serious mods to my Hi Point 995 9mm Carbine.
Right now I have a 2" diameter tube as a test for the barrel shroud (fake silencer). I have 2 actual shrouds in the mail right now. it will actually be 8.5"x 2".
The rear stock will be a Tapco T6 tactical 6 point stock. Same as in the pic below. The one in this pic is off of my SKS so I could see if I likes the look and feel.
The scope is a 3-9x40 Tasco. I might put a holographic reflex sight with 2 reticles on it...dunno yet.
The foregrip is also a test grip from my remington 870. I have another ergonomic foregrip in the mail just for this.
Also for the foregrip to be mounted, I have a barrel picitannay rail with 5 slots in the mail.
Let me know whatchya'll think!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! |

Oh..and I also have 3 - 6" UTG Picatinny Rails coming in the mail. One will be for the top of the bolt cover so I can mount optics. |

Got the T6 collapsible stock and barrel mount in the mail today..FAST SHIPPING! Just finished dremmeling the rear of the stock and epoxying the new T6 stock on....letting it all dry and harden now.
I'll post pics in a week or 2 after U sand it down, repaint it all, and get the fake silencer and top picatinnay rails in and installed. |

ALMOST DONE!
Also, those holes you see I drilled before I epoxied to see if I could bolt the T6 stock...Apparently there's no room for bolts...the epoxy worked perfect though. I'll fill those in later and repaint the whole rifle. |

Nice! I almost went with the ATI stock...they're only $70+. But I decided to stay as unique as possible with mine...
This is my rifle...there are NONE like it and this one is mine! |

Ha, a bedazzled carbine. That'd be funny as hell. |

People have already done it with Hi Points. I've see all sorts of wild color combinations and other oddities like coffee cups attached to Hi Points. They are so cheap that people seem to buy them specifically to use them as parodies of real guns. |

they are cheap, but I have yet to have an issue with mine. Plus their customer service is very highly rated. Not a bad way to spend $200. |

Thanks Jdubbs. I purchased this one for $200 out the door with the old school stock. I have never had a jam, misfire, or anything bad happen with this Hi Point. Plus the no questions asked lifetime warranty, and you get a free magazine when they send your firearm back IF you ever need to send it in for repair.
Hands down I'd have this as an shtf carbine if it ever came down to it.
I'm wanting to buy triggers kel Tec sub 2000 now... hoping he says yes... hehehe. |
