It bans one of our current rounds loaded with one of our in house made bullets.

The rest including 2 new offerings not up yet are good to go for now.

Ok, I'll agree then it's a bad thing, I just tend to tune out anything that talks about a .223, for the life of me I just can't understand the point of that round other then abundance of "cool effect" looking rifles. If I want something dead I'm not going to use a .223 and if I want to plink I'll just take out a 22. It's an interesting read on the full analysis of why the military choose the 223.

Well this whole friggin nightmare was created by the NRA selling out. They helped write the 68 GAC.

It was the first appearance of the "Elmer Fudd" mentality that recently appeared again with the Zumbo comments about black rifles and what they are used for, as in NOT hunting according to him.

So you are blaming the current NRA administration for something that happened over 40 years ago when the NRA was primarily a hunting lobby? The current NRA has evolved to a much stronger gun rights lobby.

Oh, and Zumbo's idiotic comments had nothing to do with the NRA, he was a writer for a hunting magazine, not representing or speaking for the NRA. He wrote his comments in an hunting magazine . . . and lost his job!

No I am not blaming the current NRA administration I am blaming the NRA for the 68 GCA. Just like the ISRA gave us the FOID card.

If you had even taken the time to read what I posted.

The 68 GCA is the first prime example of the mentality towards military style rifle and ammo exemplified recently by Zumbo and still very present in the upper class.

A very good example of this prejudice are all the fancy banner pics of the board members of the NRA you see in the magazines and at the NRA shows.

Except for the Nuge every one of them has some innocuous break action shot over their shoulder positioned.

When was the last time you saw
Wayne or Chris Cox blasting away with a Barret?

I was just speaking with Jeff Knox and he put it very succinctly, the NRA stuck us with 68GCA if they are so powerful it's about time they did something about it. SAF fights more.

I am also an NRA life member and my kids within days of being born where signed up as life members. But the fact remains the NRA had a hand in sticking us with the 68GCA.

I can't afford a big legal battle, but I am going to do what I can.

An update has been posted here. Since TTAG blog is one of the most read I am working with Rob as my point man for info. Included in this post at TTAG is a link to the pdf dates 6.30.11 of the ATF new ruling about solid bullets.

If you can conceal that then more power to you.

Is that an AR in your pocket, or are you just happy to see me? Oh, it's an AR.

Concealing an AR in the winter wouldn't be terribly difficult. I personally am not a big fan of huge puffy coats, but it could be done.
