Coming to a WalMart near you, Pistols, Rifles, Ammunition all will soon be sold at all their stores. Prices are expected to be far less then one could purchase a gun anywhere else. After a two year sales slump they have decided to return to more traditional values. News came from the Fox Business News channel. |

+1,000,000 I miss the days when I was at Walmart and could pick up a .22 rifle for a little over $100. Hopefully, they will have a little larger selection this time. Not holding my breath but we will see!!
I can say that the Effingham, IL Wal-Mart never stopped selling firearms. They only carry shotguns and Rifles, but still makes for a nice place to pick up a rifle if you want something in-expensive. |

I remember when Grown-Ups could buy fireworks and enjoy the heck out of them on the 4th. Now we are not to be trusted with Fireworks as well as guns....Just look how our freedoms have vanished. We have to admit, we lived in the best times in this country, now it is over and will never return, at least in our lifetime. |

You can still get fireworks in some places. Eagleville,MO is on I-35 near the Iowa line. You can buy fireworks year round, by the package or by the car load. |

And I'm sure they'll be more than $100, too. Were they any good? I'd rather front a few extra bucks for a gun that will do well than get a cheap one that will fail on me just to save money.
Usually, I've found Walmart stuff to be pretty good. |

I guess I should clarify that "a little over $100" means between $100 - $125 before tax. I bought a Ruger .22 at Wal-Mart for right about $120 before tax. My dad bought 2 - .22s for right around $100 each. They were great rifles. The thing you have to remember is that Wal-Mart usually buys in bulk, and therefore, gets a bigger discount than your average gun shop. They also pride themselves on being lower priced than other big box stores, so if they lose a little bit on 1,000 rifles, it doesn't matter to them because the people will buy ammo, and groceries and other items while in the store that they will make a profit on.
I never buy cheap just to save money. Usually when I buy a $100 firearm, it is to use and abuse it to find it's breaking point and review it on here or other sites. I LOVE doing torture tests!!!! |

They have a much larger selection if you are willing to go through the catalogs, order one and wait to get it.
That is how I bought my last Shotgun. Got what I wanted and paid less. |

has anybody seen a walmart with a firing range?
remember you will always need a place to shoot and walmart can't give you that. |
