Hey Guys,

I am doing a raffle for a very close friend of mine and his family and with Shaun's permission, am extending this raffle to the ICARRY community!!

Thanks so much Shaun!!

Here's the info.

Andrew M. Rigler 54 card pick up Gun Raffle - With the HUGE help of www.SemperFiSupply.com out of South Elgin, IL, we will be raffling off a Brand New ROCK RIVER ARMS LAR-15 CAR A4 with LIFETIME WARRANTY $900 value!! Raffle is limited to a deck of cards including the jokers (54 cards). Proceeds will go to the Rigler family.

Cards are $25 each and there is a 5 card maximum purchase limit for each raffle.

We will accept cash and paypal (money must be sent as Gift). When buying cards we will require the following info; FIRST AND LAST NAME, CONTACT NUMBER, FOID NUMBER, FOID EXPIRATION DATE, ADDRESS ON FOID CARD.

Assault rifles cannot be rewarded to those who live in the city of Chicago and to those in the state of California per the law. Any Handguns raffled that include hi capacity magazines (more than 10 rounds) that are won by residence of the city of Chicago, will come with 10 round magazines.

I can meet up with anyone to pick up cash to give them their cards or paypal can be sent to Shawn@bliss-creative.com.

You can also give cash to any of the Riglers or Byrne Family members or Semper Fi Supply at 949. La Fox Rd, South Elgin IL and i can collect it from any of them.

I will post updates on my status of how many cards remain for the given raffle.

This is not your only chance to win. If we get a lot of positive feedback, we will be raffling additional guns, one raffle at a time.

Thank you all and God Bless.

WHO ARE THE RIGLERS AND WHY ARE WE HELPING THEM?

Andrew M. Rigler, born to Larry and Jennifer Rigler, had to be delivered at 26 weeks via emergency C-section due to life threatening complications to both mother and baby.

Andrew has been in NICU since the end of July and expected to be there til atleast thanksgiving. Andrew is staying at Children's Memorial Hospital in Chicago.

One month prior to this Larry was in a serious dirtbiking accident when the two of us were out riding that resulted in him being airlifted to St. Anthony trauma center in rockford. Larry is recovering with 2 titanium plates in his arm and 13 screws, but recently had to go back into surgery due to one of the plates breaking in his arm. This will cause Larry to be out of work even longer.

Larry and Jennifer drive out to Children's Memorial Hospital every single day from their house in South Elgin to be with Andrew.

Larry and Jennifer have been so positive through all that they have been through this year and i admire them more than anything.

There are currently 33 cards left.

I don't think i will be doing a deck of cards after this one, more of a pain than i thought!! haha.

Once this raffle has sold out, i will open another one.

We may do a hand gun next, then another rifle after that.

all guns are brand new with a lifetime warranty

Electronic raffles are really easy to do too.

I used to take all of the names for our gun giveaway, export the ones who signed up properly to excel.

Then you have this big excel sheet with everyone's names. If you have people who buy multiple tickets, you just put their name down on an extra line for each extra ticket they bought. Then you use the =rand() to create a random value in a new column after the first row. Copy this down the entire column to the end of the names.

Now you have your names on the left (column A) and random values on right (column B). Next I would use the sort command and sort by value of column B - smallest to largest. Each time you sort it also issues a new random number to each entry. I would use the sort command 3 times for fun. That randomizes all of the names nicely.

Next, to make it even better, I would go to random.org. I would have random.org choose me 5 random numbers formatted in one vertical column. The first random number is the winner. If for some reason they did not respond to our attempts to contact them (I don't believe that ever happened) or if they couldn't legally purchase a gun or something (that never happened either) then I would have used the next random number.

Oh, I didn't explain that too well. I would take the random number chosen by random.org and go to that row # in Excel. That is the winner Very Happy

Might sound confusing but it's actually very easy. Something you could consider for the future.

not to rain on a parade but why do you need foid numbers home adresses date of birth?

I can understand for the winner but you are asking for alot of information to enter a raffel. I'm a private person and thats alot of info.

I don't need DOB. I need FOID # and address from FOID card. You are participating in a raffle to win a firearm, which in this raffle is an assault rifle. Assault rifles are illegal in the city of Chicago, so if someone's FOID says that they live in the city of Chicago we cannot award an assault rifle to them.

I'm not trying to make this difficult, i'm trying to make this legal.

Thank you for those who have participated so far!!
