Hey everyone. I am pretty new to the site here, but a huge fan already! y question was if anyone knew a link to the legislation allowing open carry in Wisconsin. My dad does not believe me that it is legal to open carry there and won't carry until her sees the actual information not just hear say. Again thanks so much. |

Someone else will find the link I'm sure, but there has been a letter sent out by Wisconsin's Attorney General on the issue.
The thing to remember is that if it isn't declared illegal, then it's legal. It hasn't been declared illegal for me to sit at home typing on this website while wearing Monty Python pajamas, so it's legal. It might make you jealous, for you do not own Monty Python pajamas, but it's not illegal.
Lord help us if we ever want the government deciding what is legal, rather than what is illegal. |

did you see the threads about the open carry event today?
all of those people are promoting the open carry and trying to show everyone that is is for real.
I do not have a link to the law, but let goggle be your Friend. |

You got the link to the AG's memo. There is NO actual legislation making it legal, but as TyGuy says, because it is NOT called out specifically as not allowed it is therefore allowed. Take a look at the link that OnTarget provided, a good basic primmer on the WI laws regarging open carry then look around, read and get familiar with the laws and technicalities regarding carrying. Then CARRY ONE with pride!!
Welcome to ICarry.org. Your among some great people!!

I totally understand the question, but it just a wrong way of thinking. Things are declared legal by law, rather unlawful things are.
If you have other questions feel free to ask. It can be nerve racking at first, but if you do it legally the worries will disappear. |

Ok. I knew a lot of rockabilly fans when I was dancing 3 nights a week.
Before you all snicker let me tell you that dancing was one of the best things I ever did. Three nights a week for 2-3 hours each night I got to spend time with young fit women and hold them close to me. I'll definitely be teaching my son to dance. I was also in Chicago's first teenage swing dance troupe. Unfortunately I don't dance anymore. It's just a time thing.
Anyway....back on topic. |
