Oconto County

Yesterday I wrote to Sheriff Mike Jansen of Oconto County regarding lawful open carry. The Sheriff's website states "We believe it is our responsibility to protect the constitutional rights of all persons", so I respectfully inquired about his department's stance on open carry. I highlighted "lawful" in respect to School Zones and liquor-serving establishments,

Today I recieved a short, but very favorable response which I copied below:

Chris,
I am in favor of lawful open carry.
Sheriff Mike Jansen
Oconto County

Did I and others violate forum rules. There were several replys to this post and I also posted a reply AND NOW THEY ARE GONE!!!!

Are you sure this is the right thread, broken sprocket? I'm the only one who can delete posts and I have not edited or deleted any posts in this thread. As a rule, we generally do not edit or delete posts unless it's really serious, and this has only happened once or twice.

I never saw any replies in this thread nor did I change anything.

It was this thread. 3-5 people had posted replies. I was actually posting a reply to one ot the replies to Chris. That posters point questioned why one would even ask LEOA their opinion, just carry and they will learn to deal with it. To summarize what I had posted at length, I agreed with that poster but I do realize such posts like the one at top by Chris Morley do increase the confidence of some to start to OC.

Does anyone else remember posting or reading repleis ot this post thread that I no longer there.

Shaun, I am not impying that you deleted them. Maybe it was a glitch. I know that I read the replies to Chris Morleys post and responded to one of them. I came back to check the thread, and those replies, along with mine are not there.

I don't have an answer for what happened. But, I know something did.

Of subject, but have you seen the Star Wars Holiday Special? Lucas is actively trying to rid the world of copies of it. It is horrible!
