ICarry.org and other parties will be represented by Attorney Walter Maksym of Chicago, Illinois, in a "friend of the court" Amicus brief to the Supreme Court. This in regards to the Heller v. District of Columbia (Shelly Parker, et al. v. District of Columbia and Adrian M. Fenty) case recently decided in favor of individual, inherent, unalienable rights of the people to Keep and Bear Arms.

The brief will be sent in most-likely in February when it is due. There is considerable cost involved -- there are fees and very particular printing requirements (to the tune of thousands of dollars) for such a brief. Mr. Maksym also needs to be compensated for his time in this. Our goal is to raise that money, and more if possible, as soon as possible.

Parties interested may also contribute with information. You are free to write a letter to Mr. Maksym with as much useful information as possible for the brief. Who knows -- something you write could end up going to the Supreme Court!! Those interested are encouraged to research this type of brief before writing.
